雨（雨聲 （說明 · 關於）），一種自然降水現象。是由大氣循環擾動產生的。是地球水循環不可缺少的一部分。是幾乎所有的遠離河流的陸生植物補給淡水的唯一方法。在中國夏季洋流和季風給其帶來充沛的雨水，稱為「梅雨季節」。

形成過程
當雲為水成雲或冰成雲時，雲與雲之間互相碰撞結合使得雲中水滴變大，當水的重力大到上升氣流無法將其「托住」時，水滴下降變形式了雨，實際上，雨在下落時曾經做過數次垂直運動，這是由上升氣流的強與弱有關的。如果雲層含水量少，那麼就無法形成雨，而是陰雲；如果雲層含量大，上升氣流強，導致水滴在下降過程中凝結，而凝結成的冰又被上升氣流托住而上升，如此反復則形成雹。

雨在下降過程中，當水滴過大，導致水分子引力難以維持，就會產生破裂。破裂的水滴再通過重力的作用聚合，使大水滴下降快而小水滴繼續形成新的大水滴。這用現象稱為：「彈弓效應」。彈弓效應被認為是形成雨的主要原因。實際上，雨形成的復雜的物理運動到現在還沒有完全被研究清楚。
