而這也是我們八戒兄弟的《第101次求婚》失敗。

吳剛見此，自然是喜由心生，不過礙於神情事故，不便表露。而玉帝得知此消息，當下拍手叫好，心裡暗想：「1、你八戒有馬嗎？我家養的借你騎；2、 你有房嗎？我的政績分給你的；3、 你有錢嗎？工資我來發，你醫保社保和住房公積金都是我來交！4、你當官這么多年，從沒交過個稅，一大堆把柄，你拿什麼和我斗？」所以順道以擾亂天庭秩序為由，將八戒扁為豬頭模樣，下放人間。於是，就有了後來的《嘻游記》。

八戒雖被下放，卻一心未忘嫦娥，時刻想回天庭，於是假借護送唐僧西天取經，實則想暗中藉助唐僧之名望實力，以立功為由封玉帝的金口，重返天庭，伺機行動，再以嫦娥與玉帝有不牽之情向王母暗中告狀，欲嫁禍玉帝，用王母群臣壓力逼其放棄嫦娥。而王母一方面利用八戒這條暗線牽制玉帝，一方面又覺察八戒乃不可靠之人，而又對嫦娥妒忌在心，最終連二郎神和《寶蓮燈》那娃的母親也被牽扯進來，更因為孫空悟的介入，事情越發復雜，最後竟然驚動了西天老佛爺。於是，此中盪氣回腸，曲折情節，溢於言表，於是又可稱為天宮版的《有間道》或者《天宮心計》！
