該曲目前來說有兩個來源：本曲是直接改編自美國大片《The Rock》（勇闖奪命島)中的經典插曲，所以聽起來有相似之處。《the dawn》改編自1996年美國電影《The Rock》（譯名：石破天驚或者勇闖奪命島）的配樂《In the tunnels》，原作者HansZimmer（漢斯·季默）等三人；另一個來源則是布魯斯威利斯1999年主演的科幻災難大片《Armageddon》（譯名絕世天劫或世界末日）的配樂《Returning Home》，有趣的是原作者仍是HansZimmer（漢斯·季默）。平心而論如本曲當時若能將《Returning Home》1分48秒後那段凱旋般的旋律也剪輯進去的話則會更加的震撼人心，象徵著英雄們在勝利之後如王者般歸來！
