因为女主角的父亲在男主角接电话时在他的办公桌上看到了一张署名为“H”的短柬（H指男主角以前的上司），他由此意识到男主角有一个不一般的身份，也许为了他一家人的安危，所以才启动了杀手计划。至于女主角父亲的身份，电影中只说他是一个飞行员。
其实我认为这部电影的结局有些荒唐……
