故事发生在一个叫德里的偏僻小城，四个一起长大的男孩子决定凭借自己的力量去完成一件非同寻常的正义任务，他们团结一致，并肩作战，终于很勇敢地做成了这件甚至可以称之为伟大的事情，事后，他们都得到了一种神奇的力量作为对他们的报偿。
25年后，当年的4个孩子早已长大成人，各奔东西，为自己的生活和未来而努力打拼，但是每年一到了狩猎季节，他们仍要相约重聚在缅因州的森林里，重温儿时的快乐记忆。
这一年，聚会的一切都很正常，直到一场暴风雪毫无预兆地肆虐而至，把他们困在森林中，而夜晚，一个陌生人看起来狼狈不堪、跌跌撞撞地闯进了他们的宿营帐篷，此人神智不清，两颗门牙不见了，样子诡异，神态惊惶，他仿佛从很远的地方跋涉而来，记忆混乱，语无伦次，不停地嘟囔着什么天空中的光。
